   ​Another day of minor league baseball is in the books, with plenty of action across the farm system. Below are the results and a recap of yesterday’s games, along with a note about a standout performer from the day. For a look at the previous day’s recap, you can find it linked here.
Sugar Land opened with Weiss on the mound but couldn’t quite keep the offense quiet, surrendering four runs over four innings. The Sugar Land bats produced a first-inning rally, scoring three runs on a Brooks walk, a Spence hit-by-pitch, and a Diaz sacrifice fly. In the second, a Biggio solo homer added another run for Sugar Land, bringing their tally to four. McLoughlin came on to relieve Weiss and allowed two more runs as the Isotopes grabbed the lead. The offense stalled from there, and Sugar Land dropped the contest 6-4.

The Hooks started quickly, with a Bush solo homer giving them the early lead in the first. Mancini got the ball for the Hooks and worked three solid innings, allowing two runs while fanning five. After four innings of relief work, Encarnacion tied things up with a solo shot in the seventh. David came on in the eighth but surrendered three runs as Frisco pulled ahead. The Hooks could not mount a comeback, falling 5-2.

Asheville briefly jumped ahead in the fourth with a two-run homer from Call to put them on the board. Oakes started on the hill for Asheville but allowed three runs over three innings. Rodriguez followed with three innings of one-run ball. Call added another two-run shot in the fifth to tie the game, and in the seventh, Moss delivered a sacrifice fly to give Asheville the lead. The bullpen shut the door, with Frias and Langford working scoreless frames to seal a 5-4 win.
Note: Moss is hitting .402 in Asheville.

The Woodpeckers found the board in the second on a Salas sacrifice fly. Potter pitched well for five innings, striking out seven while allowing just one run. The Woodpeckers rallied in the sixth, plating seven runs on Flores’ three-run homer to take control. The offense would not look back, and the Woodpeckers cruised to a decisive 8-1 victory.
Note: Flowing back-to-back wins, the Woodpeckers continued to build momentum with a potent lineup and a deep bullpen push.
