The Atlanta Falcons enter the season poised to flip the culture of losing that has hung over the franchise for the past decade, since their last playoff appearance. Kevin Stefanski arrives with a clear objective: instill his approach and ethos into the locker room, and if that change is going to take root, he will need to imprint his style on the players. A core pillar of his philosophy is toughness and a commitment to the ground game, a signature feature of his most successful Cleveland Browns teams, which thrived behind an elite offensive line.
Fortunately for Stefanski, the Falcons boast one of the strongest offensive lines in the league, a unit that provides a solid foundation for continuity. As Stefanski and veteran line coach Bill Callahan prepare to mold the unit, these are the names fans should learn as the season approaches, the players who figure to be at the center of Atlanta’s blocking schemes and overall stability.
At the top of the list is a near guarantee to be on the field every week: a veteran left tackle who has built a reputation for reliability across a 12-year career. This player has appeared in nearly every game and is approaching two straight centuries of starts. While his strengths lie more in pass protection than run blocking, his consistency and experience make him one of the most dependable linemen in football. Expect him to suit up and play every game this season, health permitting, as he continues to anchor the squad’s left side.
Joining him is the other half of the formidable left-side tandem, a stalwart who has started close to 50 games since 2023 and is adept at handling both run and pass protection. He isn’t quite as rock-solid as his partner, but few players are, and his presence provides a critical balance to the line. An ankle injury sidelined him for a portion of 2025, but with health restored, he should be firing on all cylinders this year.
In the center of the line, a third-year standout has stepped into the starting role and produced impressive results, especially in the running game. An undrafted free agent who began his career in 2021, he has carved out a meaningful role in Atlanta and is poised to grow further under Callahan’s guidance this season.
Alongside the left-side anchors, there is perhaps no lineman more celebrated than the right side’s star. A four-time Pro Bowler, this interior blocker has long set the standard for what a dominant guard play looks like and remains a cornerstone of the Falcons’ front. The team is fortunate to have him, as his continued excellence helps elevate the entire unit.
If there is a concern for Atlanta, it is at right tackle. The incumbent is capable but frequently unduly penalized, and after an injury to a rotational option, the depth behind him isn’t ideal. A recent trade brought in a potential situational contributor who will likely see some time, but starting him might not be the preferred plan. The addition of a young player via trade could offer a longer-term solution, but he may not be ready to handle a full starter’s workload.
Depth on the line is always a consideration, as injuries can test even the best units. However, the starting five — anchored by the veteran left tackle and his left-side counterpart, supported by a skilled center and a dominant interior presence — ranks among the league’s best. Even with questions at right tackle, the Falcons’ offensive line possesses the talent and cohesion to provide Stefanski with the platform needed to implement his grind-and-grow identity, sustain efficient run plays, and protect the quarterback as the team aims to restore a winning culture and return to postseason contention.
