Paris Saint-Germain remain adamant that Bradley Barcola will not be sold, despite Arsenal’s continued interest in the France World Cup star. Barcola has not featured as a regular starter for PSG, fueling speculation that he could seek a move during the summer transfer window. That possibility has drawn attention from Arsenal and several other leading European clubs, all closely monitoring the winger’s situation as the market heats up.
The Gunners consider Barcola among their top transfer targets and have been quietly working to bolster their attacking options. Liverpool has also been linked with the 21-year-old, underscoring the high level of competition to sign one of European football’s most highly regarded young forwards. According to Independent Sport, PSG has reiterated that Barcola will not be allowed to depart under any circumstances, signaling a firm stance as interest from abroad grows. The report also notes that PSG has reportedly dropped its pursuit of Julian Alvarez in order to keep Barcola, a move that could potentially clear a path for Arsenal to intensify efforts for the Argentina international if they wish to press on.
However, securing Alvarez would not be straightforward. Atletico Madrid have consistently insisted that the striker is not for sale and that any transfer would require activating his 500 million euro release clause. Arsenal remains determined to add a world-class attacker before the window closes, but both Barcola and Alvarez currently appear out of reach. With their preferred targets seemingly unavailable, the club may need to broaden its options as it pursues additional attacking quality ahead of the new season.
