Jonathan Tah was one of those eight, anchoring the backline and ensuring calm while he was on the pitch. He was only a witness to Luis Díaz’s game winner, however, having been subbed off prior to the Colombian’s phenomenal individual effort.Speaking after the match, Tah was happy with the experience.“We really appreciate the fans who came to the stadium today and supported us. We’re happy that we won this game. Hong Kong was a really great experience,” Tah said (as captured by Bayern’s official website). “We played well, even though the pitch wasn’t perfect. Of course, I always want to keep improving. But in the end, it’s about doing the basics well, paying attention to the details, developing every season and every game, and working hard. Lucho is a great player. I’m happy to be playing alongside him. He’s also a great guy.”Hopefully, Díaz can continue to pull out such phenomenal individual moments when the season truly starts.
