They could bounce back with a win over the Washington Commanders, who are also 1-2, but Daniel Jones made a crucial mistake to start the game in the first quarter, as the quarterback fumbled the ball before the Commanders scored the first points of the game. With this happening in the Colts’ own opening drive, many fans were unhappy and have started to call on the team to bench the quarterback after that costly fumble.“This is an atrocious start by the #Colts offense/Daniel Jones. #Hets fans have to love it,” said one X user.“Bench Daniel Jones. I’m DONE,” another fan added.Odafe Oweh was the one who recovered the Daniel Jones fumble for the Commanders. He was the No. 4 overall pick in the 2023 NFL draft but has not been particularly impressive so far. Like Jones, he is also injury-prone, as he suffered an injury last season. He also injured himself while lifting weights during Week 2.The Colts have stuck with Jones even through that injury-plagued season they had for their quarterback room last year. He was questionable for Week 1 but managed to play. Despite him being healthy, though, the quarterback has mostly struggled so far, throwing one interception in each of the three games he has played this season so far.Read More:“He looks Like Tarzan, but Coaches Like Jane”: NFL Fans Troll Robert Saleh Over Pregame Routine Amid Titans’ Disaster Start to 2026 Season“Please Cut Cooper Rush” “Give Us Jack Strand”: Calls Mount From NFL Fans to Bench Falcons QB After Costly Mistake on First Play vs CarolinaCollege Sports Network has you covered with the latest news, analysis, insights, and trending stories in tennis, college football, men’s college basketball, women’s college basketball, and college baseball!
