The Philadelphia 76ers will now turn their attention to the summer league after selecting Alabama star Labaron Philon Jr. with the No. 22 pick in the draft. Philon will look to make an impact on the summer league in Las Vegas and prepare himself for what’s to come in the NBA and the physicality and everything that comes with the league.
As far as the rest of the summer league roster is concerned, that will be announced at a later date, but there is one announcement for the roster. Bowling Green guard Javontae Campbell will play for the Sixers in Las Vegas.
Campbell, the 2026 MAC Defensive Player of the Year, averaged 18.7 points, 5.1 assists, and 4.5 rebounds while averaging 3.0 steals for the Falcons. He shot 31.8% from deep and played two years for Bowling Green after two years playing in JUCO.
Campbell stands at 6-foot-2 and can bring a defensive presence to the perimeter. He will look to prove himself in the summer league to earn himself an opportunity in the NBA in October.
