​Kansas City Chiefs running back Brashard Smith spoke with reporters after practice on Tuesday at Missouri Western State University. He discussed learning from veteran teammate Kenneth Walker III and the coaching staff during training camp.”Mainly footwork, alignment, just the little things, like I have the talent but it’s more — it’s way bigger than that. It’s more just knowing exactly where you are on your routes, knowing exactly what landmark you have,” said Smith, regarding offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy’s lessons. “Just the little things really; he’s been focusing on that for sure.”The Chiefs’ 2025 seventh-round draft pick had his best performance as a professional in Week 17 last season. During the Christmas Day loss to the Denver Broncos, Smith had a touchdown reception and three catches, along with three kick returns for 75 yards and two punt returns for 55 yards.”Yeah, (Kenneth Walker) K9, he’s a dog, man. He got the whole group just coming along with him,” said Smith. “I feel like he’s got us running harder, just reading things better.
