It’s a tale as old as time that baseball fans get annoyed with national broadcasters in October. That appears to be the case again this year, when fans used to hearing their home-team announcers must watch the biggest games of the year with different voices calling the action. Some Milwaukee Brewers fans are particularly unhappy with the Fox Sports 1 studio crew – featuring former players Derek Jeter, David Ortiz and Alex Rodriguez, as well as in-game color analysts AJ Pierzynski and Adam Wainwright – as their team plays the San Diego Padres in the National League Division Series. In last year’s NL Championship Series, Brewers fans had the advantage of regular Brewers TV announcer Brian Anderson on the call when TNT Sports had the broadcast. The games themselves still didn’t go well – Milwaukee was swept by the Los Angeles Dodgers. This year, if Milwaukee manages to reach the NLCS, fans will watch games on Fox called by Joe Davis, the full-time play-by-play man for a Los Angeles Dodgers team that might very well be the opponent (although at least he attended Beloit College?). Brace yourselves for the feedback. Here are some of the current complaints, ranging from a perceived partiality for the Padres to a general lack of Brewers knowledge:“If you’re the brewers you want to knock them out, but if you’re the padres you want to extend it” – Arod just said this. Damn thanks for the insight, never thought of it like that— CB3 (@BussColyn) October 7, 2026Now that the game is done and over with, what an absolute disaster of a broadcast from @MLBONFOX@FOXSports tonight. You are supposed to remain as unbiased as humanly possible, and not only have people across the country called out the clear difference in Joe Davis’ calls for…— Sam Strash (@strash_sam) October 7, 2026Hey ARod, say something nice about the Brewers:ARod: “As far as the Brewers…. the Packers won this afternoon!” https://t.co/PXJgxo766H— Brewers Babes (@BrewersBabes) October 5, 2026Ok the Padres do not deserve the Dodgers treatment FOX. It’s ok to be impartial sometimes when a team faces the Brewers.— The Juice (@ArgallBruce) October 7, 2026The Fox coverage of this series has been awful, you can tell Alex, Jeter and Papi are watching their first Brewers games of the year and have no idea what to make of it. https://t.co/9YIbzDPPDr— In Gard We Trust (@MadisonMessiah) October 4, 2026Hey FOX and MLB can the Brewers have BA call game 4 so we can even up the broadcast bias? PS – don’t send your pregame crew to Milwaukee. They might get booed louder than Machado at this point.— ali_wagz (@WagzAli) October 7, 2026What did the Brewers do to Fox Sports? Good lord— GG (@gjgmur1) October 7, 2026Sick and tired of the San Diego bias by this FS1 broadcast crew. They really do hate the Brewers. @FOXSports@MLBONFOX— Lisa (@lmyarbro2026) October 7, 2026Is it just me or did the FS1 broadcast crew sound genuinely upset when William Contreras hit that ball out?Like they
