​The Athletic’s NFL Staff recently revealed one breakout candidate for all 32 NFL teams, and they made a predictable choice for the Denver Broncos. Nick Kosmider has dubbed second-year outside linebacker Que Robinson the club’s breakout candidate going into training camp. “Robinson was already trending toward a bigger role on the edge in Year 2, but that will especially be the case if Jonathon Cooper faces an NFL suspension following two June arrests,” Kosmider wrote for The Athletic.Cooper’s potential suspension aside, Robinson’s stock was already rising going into the summer. A fourth-round pick out of Alabama last year, Robinson might have “the most upside” of any member of the team’s 2025 draft class, according to general manager George Paton. Robinson got limited playing time in a deep pass rush rotation last fall, but he made the most of his opportunities, totaling 12 tackles, three quarterback hits and a half-sack in six regular-season games. He also recorded a solo sack in his playoff debut.Even if Cooper is available, Robinson will likely see more snaps in 2026, and if last season’s small sample size was any indication of what’s to come, the 25-year-old pass rusher could be headed for a breakout campaign.
