Browns urged to pair Deshaun Watson with 6-foot-8 weapon, but they shouldn’t originally appeared on The Sporting News.

Ultimately, the Browns gave Deshaun Watson the keys to the offense, and Cleveland fans can only hope it was the right decision. There are other factors at play with Watson, but ultimately, he needs to be a lot better than we’ve seen. At the same time, Cleveland doesn’t exactly have the greatest weapons, so we have to give him some slack in that regard. That would even include Shedeur Sanders or Dillon Gabriel if and when they start. That’s part of why one writer recently suggested going out and landing a tight end. Donald Parham Jr., who last played in 2023 with the Los Angeles Chargers, is still available and, at 29 years old, could be a nice buy-low signing.“Tight end Donald Parham was on Denver’s practice squad in 2024 and missed all of last season with an Achilles injury, but he appears ready to contribute in 2026. If Parham is indeed back near pre-injury form, he should be an intriguing option for teams seeking a pass-catcher at the position. In 2023, he appeared in 14 games for the Chargers and caught 27 passes for 285 yards and four touchdowns,” Knox wrote.I don’t hate the idea of bringing in a guy like Parham, but he’s definitely not somebody that the Browns can rely on to come in and be a great player. He has a big body at 6-foot-8, but outside of being a big target, he really hasn’t shown much throughout a lot of his four-year NFL career.More NFL news:Packers get insane prediction that would lead to disaster for first time since 2005Chiefs, Patrick Mahomes linked to reunion with Super Bowl champion WRRaiders must avoid trading for $120M WR, despite how enticing it could beESPN trade idea sees Bears trade quarterback to Browns to replace Shedeur SandersSuper Bowl-winning QB should be on Browns wishlist after latest prediction
