As the Cleveland Browns continue to prepare for the 2026 NFL season, the offense will look to take a massive step forward after its horrific run in the previous season.
This offseason, general manager Andrew Berry made it clear that his focus would be directed towards revamping the offense, as four of the organization’s first five picks in the 2026 NFL Draft were on the offensive side of the ball. This includes two new weapons in Texas A&M’s KC Concepcion and Washington’s Denzel Boston, with both wide receivers projected to have an immediate impact as a rookie.

However, despite the massive overhaul on offense this offseason, there’s one veteran pass catcher who has made a name for himself throughout OTAs in former Baltimore Ravens’ wide receiver Tylan Wallace, in hopes of cracking the 53-man roster.
Wallace, a fourth-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft by the Ravens, was an underrated piece for newly-hired head coach Todd Monken’s offense during his time in Baltimore. After struggling to make an impact on the offensive side of the ball for the first three seasons of his NFL career, the 27-year-old stepped up in 2024, recording 193 receiving yards and one touchdown on 11 receptions.
While Wallace failed to become a consistent offensive threat for the Ravens in his five-year stint with the organization, his electric playmaking ability with the ball in his hands proved to be perfect on special teams. As a punt returner, Wallace tallied 194 yards and one touchdown, while also notching 188 yards on eight kickoff return attempts.

One of the key reasons why the Berry pursued the former Oklahoma State standout — outside of his prior experience with Monken — was due to Cleveland’s poor efforts on special teams over the past few seasons. In 2025, the Browns relied on UDFA Gage Larvadain as their primary punt returner. And despite showing some flashes as a rookie, the front office decided to add competition to the room in Wallace this offseason.
Now, with a loaded wide receiver corps featuring multiple rookies, Wallace has an uphill battle to carve out a role on offense for the 2026 season. But luckily for the veteran, his experience with Monken and on special teams should secure him a roster spot ahead of next season, while also providing a reliable depth piece to the wide receiver room in 2026.
