The Boston Bruins have reportedly finalized a trade with the Utah Mammoth to acquire 24-year-old winger JJ Peterka.
The Bruins will be sending the Mammoth the 23rd overall selection in Friday night’s 2026 NHL Draft. The deal leaves Boston with zero selections in the first round of the NHL Draft.
Boston is also sending them a first-round pick in two years. The pick comes from the Florida Panthers and was the key cog in getting the deal that sent future Bruins Hall of Famer Brad Marchand to Florida. It is top-10 protected.
Boston has seven picks remaining in the 2026 NHL Draft after sending away its first-rounder.
The first selection of the night will be No. 56 overall.
Then they will pick once in the third round, three times in the fourth, once in the fifth and once in the seventh.
