​EVANSVILLE — Burdette Park will host the 2027 USA BMX Hoosier Nationals, bringing around 500 riders to the area. Explore Evansville announced the event Monday during a news conference at Burdette Park. The event will be hosted by Explore Evansville, the Evansville Regional Sports Commission, Burdette Park and Burdette BMX.The national will also mark the 50th anniversary of the BMX track at Burdette Park. “Being chosen to host the 2027 Hoosier Nationals is a tremendous honor and a great opportunity for our track to showcase what 50 years of BMX racing has meant to our riders, parents, volunteers and community,” stated Andy Damin, president of Burdette Park BMX. “It’s a great chance for riders from across the country to experience our one-of-a-kind downhill track.”According to Explore Evansville, event information such as registration, schedule and spectator information will come closer to the event.This article originally appeared on Evansville Courier & Press: Burdette Park to host BMX Hoosier Nationals in 2027
