The 2026 Calgary Stampede has officially crowned its champions after a week filled with intense competition and unforgettable performances. The Showdown Sunday spectacle brought the final four competitors in each event into the spotlight, all vying for a $50,000 championship prize. The result was a dramatic conclusion to one of the season’s biggest rodeos.
In bareback riding, the final four delivered an electrifying round, with every rider scoring above 90 points. Bradlee Miller claimed the title with a standout 92.50-point ride, earning the $50,000 paycheck. Jacob Lees followed with an impressive 91-point effort for second place, while Roedy Farrell and Luke Thrash each tallied 90.50 points to share third.
Wyatt Casper delivered the top performance in saddle bronc riding, posting a 90.50-point ride aboard Mary Lou to capture the $50,000 prize. Gus Gaillard was right behind with a 90-point score, and Kade Bruno earned third place with an 89-point ride. Canada’s Logan Hay rounded out the field with 82.50 points.
Noah Lee stood alone atop the bull riding field, the lone rider to make the whistle in the four-man round with a 77-point ride that secured the 2026 Calgary Stampede bull riding championship. Lee is enjoying a storybook season, leading the Resistol Rookie Bull Riding standings and ranking No. 2 in the world. T Parker, Garrett Green, and Hayden Welsh were unable to complete their rides, each taking home $12,500 for their efforts.
In tie-down roping, Zach Jongbloed delivered one of the week’s most consistent performances, capping it with a 7.2-second run to win the $50,000 top check. Brushton Minton matched with a 7.8-second run to finish second and collect $20,000, while John Douch finished third with a 10.0-second time and $10,000.
Riley Duvall rose to the occasion in steer wrestling, stopping the clock in 3.9 seconds to claim the $50,000 championship check. Trisyn Kalawaia finished as runner-up with a 4.1-second run, and Jesse Brown rounded out the top three with a 5.3-second time.
Showdown Sunday’s first round of barrel racing saw Hayle Gibson-Stillwell shatter Kassie Mowry’s arena record with an incredible 16.56-second run. Yet in the decisive four-woman round, Hailey Kinsel emerged victorious by mere hundredths of a second, posting a 16.802-second time to win the $50,000 prize. Gibson-Stillwell finished a razor-thin second at 16.819 seconds, Carlee Otero took third with 16.833 seconds, and Heidi Gunderson was fourth at 17.201 seconds.
In breakaway roping, Cheyanne McCartney continued her momentum from a strong pool performance, securing the 2026 Calgary Stampede title with a 2.7-second run on Showdown Sunday. Cadee Williams finished second with a 3.4-second run, while Rylee George captured third with a 12.4-second run after a barrier break.
