Carson Cooper wraps up NBA Summer League with another strong showing

By admin — In News — July 8, 2026

Former Michigan State center Carson Cooper wrapped up his NBA Summer League stint with a third consecutive strong showing. Cooper and the Memphis Grizzlies concluded their Salt Lake City Summer League slate on Tuesday with a loss to the Atlanta Hawks. That outcome is largely insignificant, however, because Cooper again delivered a solid performance for the Grizzlies.
Cooper finished the game with 12 points and five rebounds in 18 minutes, marking his third and final summer league contest. Across the three-game session, he averaged 11 points and 5.3 rebounds per game.
Although he went undrafted in this year’s NBA Draft, Cooper quickly found a landing spot with the Grizzlies shortly after the draft. He signed a two-way contract with Memphis, which will also allow him to appear for the Grizzlies’ G-League affiliate, the Memphis Hustle.
From here, it will be interesting to see how Cooper’s career unfolds. It’s clear that he has proven capable of competing at a high level during this summer league run, so it wouldn’t be surprising to witness him find success in the NBA G League or possibly in the NBA in the near future.
