Kansas City Chiefs wide receivers coach Chad O’Shea recently spoke with reporters. He discussed replacing Tyquan Thornton after his season-ending injury.”Yeah, I’ll start with a tremendous amount of respect for Tyquan (Thornton) and what he did with us this season,” said O’Shea. “He was outstanding, and not only outstanding on the field, but he was even more outstanding in the meeting rooms and just being a great teammate with our guys. So, I’ll say that, and we’ll miss Tyquan. But I’m excited about the challenge of replacing some of Tyquan’s production, kind of across the board, as we say in the receiver room. Before leaving the Week 4 game against the Las Vegas Raiders on a cart, Thornton had a career day, catching 5 for 111 yards and 2 touchdowns.”It’s our job as coaches to utilize those skill sets that we know we have a variety of different skill sets in the room,” said O’Shea, “use those skill sets to try to find production in different ways that Tyquan might have had that we’re not going to have now with him not being in there. But we certainly have enough guys in the room that we can be very successful in the pass game without Tyquan out there.”The Chiefs will continue to mix in young players Jalen Royals and Cyrus Allen to complement Xavier Worthy and Rashee Rice. This article originally appeared on Chiefs Wire: Chad O’Shea comments on the task of replacing Tyquan Thornton
