Three plays into that against-all-odds drive, the Seahawks stripped the ball from Justin Herbert, recovered the fumble and ran out the clock. The Chargers dropped to 0-4, likely crossing the point of no return. The last time the Chargers started 0-4 was 2017, their first season back in Los Angeles.Only one team — the 1992 San Diego Chargers — made the playoffs after losing its first four games, and that Bobby Ross-coached squad won 11 of its final 12 games.Read more:Mike McDaniel blames himself for Chargers’ woes, remains confident of turnaroundThese Chargers have 13 games left, and identifying potential wins on the remaining schedule is a nearly impossible task.Remember the thought that new offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel would unlock all the potential of Herbert?
