Charlotte Hornets broadcaster Eric Collins is staying busy this offseason, calling plenty of different sporting events. Collins started his summer covering AUSL softball with CBS before broadcasting a Major League Baseball game between the Washington Nationals and the Texas Rangers. With college football kicking off, Collins called Saturday’s game between Ohio and Nebraska.Although the battle was a one-point game (14-13) heading to the half, Nebraska dominated the final 30 minutes of play, outscoring Ohio 35-8 and cruising to a 49-21 victory. During the contest, Collins provided fans with one of his signature calls on a 51-yard touchdown pass from Anthony Colandrea to Mekhi Nelson.Having joined the Hornets in 2015, Collins has spent 11 seasons with the franchise, joining Dell Curry, who began broadcasting for the team in 2009 after spending 10 seasons with the Hornets during his playing career. For more NBA content, check out the BasketBaltes podcast: https://www.youtube.com/@BasketBalteshttps://www.instagram.com/basketbaltes/This article originally appeared on Rookie Wire: Charlotte Hornets announcer broadcasts college football kickoff
