​Former Florida baseball standout first baseman Pete Alonso is well into his eighth MLB season, and his 2026 campaign has brought another chapter to the career of one of the program’s most accomplished alumni.Since making his MLB debut in 2019, Alonso has established himself as an above-average power hitter, winning the Home Run Derby twice and winning the Silver Slugger once, as well as earning multiple All-Star selections and becoming one of the most recognizable former Gators in the majors.Now with the Baltimore Orioles, Alonso is looking to build on his successful career while continuing to make an impact at the highest level.
