Manchester United are reportedly in advanced talks to sign Chelsea midfielder Andrey Santos, with the latest updates suggesting the deal could move quickly. Santos, 22, was a regular presence for Chelsea last season, making 43 appearances across all competitions and registering three goals.
In other transfer news, Chelsea academy product Jesse Derry is nearing a departure on loan, as Sporting CP edge closer to securing the 19-year-old forward. Crystal Palace have officially confirmed a new agreement for midfielder Daichi Kamada, who has signed a fresh one-year deal after his previous contract expired. Palace chairman Steve Parish highlighted that the Japan international rejected offers from elsewhere to commit his future to the club.
Moving to Fulham, the new manager Alvaro Arbeloa is keen to bolster the squad with Real Madrid forward Gonzalo Garcia, according to Sky Sports. Garcia is identified as a prime target to bolster the team’s attacking options as they seek a new striker following Raul Jimenez’s departure. In other Fulham news, Callum Wilson is undergoing a medical with the club ahead of completing a transfer to west London.
Meanwhile, Juventus are continuing to pursue Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez, with Sky Italia reporting ongoing discussions as they seek to add depth between the posts. On the Arsenal side, the Gunners are set to complete the acquisition of Illan Meslier, the Leeds United goalkeeper, as part of their plans to reinforce between the sticks.
These developments come as Manchester United weigh up their options in the transfer market, with late-stage negotiations surrounding Santos potentially shaping their midfield for the upcoming season. The pursuit of Santos highlights United’s intent to add young, high-polo potential to their squad, while other clubs are finalizing moves to address defensive and attacking needs. As the window progresses, fans can expect further confirmations or pivots as clubs solidify their plans and secure target players.
