​Chelsea have set a asking price of £30m for Trevoh Chalobah after rejecting an initial bid from Como. The Italian club offered €27m (£23m) for the defender, who is 26, as they aim to bolster their squad ahead of their first Champions League campaign next season. Sky Sports Italy reports that Como will need to increase their offer to secure a deal. Chalobah, who started 31 Premier League games for Chelsea last season, could be sold this summer to help fund a squad rebuild under new head coach Xabi Alonso. The Spaniard is looking to sign at least one new centre-back, and Chalobah’s sale would provide pure profit for Chelsea’s balance sheet, given the lack of Champions League revenue. Chalobah is currently with England at the World Cup, having been called up late after Tino Livramento’s injury.
