That is exactly what head coach Chris Finch believes the offense has been missing.Speaking with Dane Moore about the team’s new approach, Finch said Ball should take some pressure off Edwards. However, Ball’s arrival will also force Edwards to adjust to a different way of playing.Anthony Edwards Is No Longer Expected To Create EverythingFor years, the Timberwolves could turn to Edwards whenever their offense became stuck. He averaged 28.8 points and 3.7 assists in 61 games last season while shooting a career-best 39.9 percent from three. That explains why Minnesota relied on him so heavily. Edwards can score from the outside, attack the paint and create a shot late in the clock when the first option failed.Ball gives the team another way to begin those possessions.
