Cincinnati Bengals Have Breakout Candidate on 2026 Roster

ESPN surveyed NFL executives, coaches and scouts to rank tight ends heading into the 2026 season, and unsurprisingly, the Bengals did not have a player receive any votes. With a top 10, five honorable mentions and an additional eight players receiving votes, a total of 23 tight ends were recognized in the poll. Brock Bowers of the Las Vegas Raiders claimed the No. 1 spot, and three AFC North tight ends made the list. Mark Andrews ranked No. 9, while Pat Freiermuth and Harold Fannin Jr. earned honorable mention recognition.AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementThe Bengals ranked 25th in tight end usage in 2025, with the entire position group combining for just 98 receptions, 876 yards and eight touchdowns. Mike Gesicki and Noah Fant led the way, accounting for 595 yards and five touchdowns. Along with Drew Sample and Tanner Hudson, the room was filled with veterans last season, but the production still wasn’t there. While Fant is the only one not returning, it may be time for the franchise to turn to its younger players to revitalize the tight end position.Erick All Jr. emerged as a threat during his rookie season before a knee injury derailed the second half of his year. The former fourth-round draft pick hauled in 20 receptions for 158 yards in nine games in 2024, and it appeared Joe Burrow had found another trustworthy target.Jack Endries is another name to watch as training camp approaches. The Bengals selected him in the seventh round of the NFL draft in April, adding another young piece to the room. He capped his college career with 33 receptions for 346 yards and three touchdowns at Texas, bringing valuable production as both a pass catcher and blocker. He likely won’t have a major role this season, but he should provide dependable depth.AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementAll has been a full participant in offseason workouts and organized team activities, saying he feels 100% entering training camp. Zac Taylor commended All for his recovery efforts and said he is poised to contribute. As the rankings released last week showed, the consensus is that there isn’t much confidence in the Bengals’ tight end room, making All’s availability even more important. His talent was evident in 2024, and with a fully healed knee entering the season, he has all the tools necessary to become a breakout player. All has the potential to become the Bengals’ starting tight end in 2026 and a crucial member of an already potent offense.
