The Coloradoan’s annual football Media Day turned 5 years old this year.We started the preseason event in 2022 when the new Wellington and Timnath schools opened up and joined our local gridiron roster.Now, one of them is already a state champion after Wellington romped to the Colorado Class 2A title last fall in an epic unbeaten season.So, we did it bigger than ever this year, turning Coloradoan Media Day into Media Days with two days of time with our Fort Collins-area high school football teams ahead of the 2026 season.That meant more players in front of the camera. More photos and portraits. A move indoors to beat the heat.
