The Indianapolis Colts have reportedly shown interest in former Detroit Lions cornerback Terrion Arnold. According to ESPN, Arnold was released by the Lions after being arrested on felony charges of armed robbery and kidnapping. Following his release, he cleared waivers and became a free agent. Dave Birkett, Arnold’s former Lions beat writer, relayed that Arnold’s agent, Nicole Lynn, told a court hearing that multiple teams—namely the Colts, Jets, Seahawks, and Texans—had reached out about signing him.
Houston has already taken a look at Arnold through a workout, and Lynn indicated there is a “very good likelihood” he will sign with a team within the next 45 days. Arnold was a first-round pick by the Lions in 2024. Across his career, he has allowed a completion rate of 59% on 134 targets, giving up 13.4 yards per reception. His stat line includes one interception and 12 pass breakups.
For the Colts, cornerback is already a stacked position group. The projected starters include Charvarius Ward, Sauce Gardner, and Justin Walley. They will also have competition for two to three available roster spots among Jaylon Jones, Cameron Mitchell, Mekhi Blackmon, Johnathan Edwards, and Cam Taylor-Britt.
This update originates from Colts Wire, which notes that the Colts reached out regarding former Lions corner Terrion Arnold, as relayed by his agent. The report underscores the ongoing interest from several teams in Arnold’s services as he navigates the latest chapter of his professional football career.
