With training camp for the Indianapolis Colts getting closer, which players should be on our radars as these practices and preseason games unfold? As part of our training camp preview, we’ll be highlighting one player from each position group to keep your eyes on. In some instances, it may be one of the Colts’ top players that we’ll be watching closely or it could be a player fighting for playing time or a roster spot.Up next are the wide receivers.Colts wide receiver to watch during training camp: Nick Westbrook-IkhineAshton Dulin appears to be the early favorite for the Colts’ WR3 role following offseason programs, but the competition is far from settled, and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine will be one of several players in the mix for those snaps. In part, Westbrook-Ikhine is the player to watch here because we’ve seen so little of him in a Colts’ uniform as a free agent addition. But also, of the players vying for these snaps, he perhaps offers the greatest immediate upside for this offense. He has more experience than Deion Burks and more production than Dulin and Laquon Treadwell. Westbrook-Ikhine’s 2025 season in Miami was a down year, but before that point, he put together four productive seasons in Tennessee from 2021 through 2024, averaging almost 50 targets per year during that span. He nearly hit the 500-yard mark twice as well.Over six seasons, he has caught 62% of his 225 targets, averaging 13.5 yards per catch with 19 touchdowns. Westbrook-Ikhine has been productive with the ball in his hands, picking up yards after the catch throughout his career. While Alec Pierce and Josh Downs will lead the way at this position for the Colts, finding a steady third wideout to pair with this duo will be important, with that player potentially adding another dimension to this offense that defenses will have to account for. This article originally appeared on Colts Wire: Colts training camp preview: One player to watch at wide receiver position
