After a six-year hiatus, one of Corpus Christi’s longtime amateur golf tournaments is returning. The Corpus Christi City Championship will be held July 18-19 at Oso Beach Municipal Golf Course. The two-day event will bring together some of the area’s top amateur golfers to compete for the title of city champion.
The championship was last played in 2019, and this year more than $5,000 in cash and prizes will be awarded. The tournament will feature Open, Senior, and Junior divisions and will be conducted as a two-day individual stroke-play event. Organizers say the return of the championship is supported by S2G Golf, whose owner, Mario Martucci, noted that reviving the tournament is part of a broader effort to bolster the local golf community.
Early registration discounts are available through July 13, and participation is limited. Registration information is available here.
