​BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — The Bills offense got off to a flying start at Buffalo’s new stadium on Thursday night — with one notable exception.Bills receiver D.J. Moore — the team’s clear No. 1 receiver this season — left the game with three minutes remaining in the first half following an incompletion. On a 2nd and 3 at the Lions 6, Josh Allen rolled out to his right before throwing a low pass to Moore, who had run a crossing pattern toward the right sideline. Moore hit the ground hard and was quickly ruled to be questionable with a potential stinger and a shoulder injury.Moore was later ruled out of the game. “I don’t have any updates with it. Obviously he couldn’t come back in the game,” Bills coach Joe Brady said. “I’ll have more updates for you guys tomorrow.”The loss of Moore for any significant amount of time would be a major blow to the Bills offense. The Bills traded for Moore in the offseason — acquiring the former first-round pick along with a 2026 fifth-round pick from Chicago in exchange for the 60th overall pick in April’s draft — with hopes that he would become the No. 1 receiver they had been lacking in recent years.”Hate to see (No.) 2 go down and hopefully we get him back soon because what he does for our offense, you can’t really measure it,” quarterback Josh Allen said.Moore got off to a quick start in his debut as a Bill, catching five passes for 100 yards and a touchdown in Buffalo’s season opener against Houston.Latest Sports News
