​Most Valuable Promotions announced on Monday Jake Paul’s next opponent and to a lot of people’s surprise it wasn’t Darren Till. Paul will instead take on multiple-time kickboxing champion Cédric Doumbé.According to Till, the two were deep into negotiations with several details lined out. He was surprised by Monday’s announcement and called Paul a ‘fraud.”“Me, unlike the rest, I’ve never really begged for the Jake Paul fight. I’m not into the shenanigans of begging for fights. You know, I’ve mentioned his name once or twice, you know, I’ll fight him, but his team reached out to my team and was like, look, we want to make the Till fight. How do we get this done? So, obviously, that’s not my role or my job. That’s down to the managers,” Till said on the Ariel Helwani Show.“I know they were back and forth, you know, negotiations over money and stuff like that. And from what I’m gathering, negotiations were going well. I think we agreed on like a price and obviously it was going to be here in Dubai the 24th of December where I live. As I said, they reached out to me. I didn’t reach out to them. “For me, I thought we were all good to go. I’ve been in camp now for the past two weeks with my coach. I flew him out. Getting ready, you know, seven weeks away, right around the corner. It would have been my third fight this year and big fights as well. And I don’t know where this f**king that fight gets announced with Cédric Doumbé. I don’t think anyone outside of his own household even knows who he is. Jake probably just wants to see how his jaw’s holding up against someone who weighs about 150 pounds on a good day.”Till found out he wasn’t fighting Paul when the Doumbé announcement was made. He criticized the matchup, the promotion and its founders. “It’s just a fraudulent show. Everyone’s a fraud. Jake’s a fraud. Nakisa Bidarian’s a little fraud. Wasting my time,” he said. “Disrespectful. As I said, the fraud show. Gang of frauds, gang of bums, gang of stinky little wet asses.”
