​MONTREAL (AP) — Demi Vollering followed up her Women’s Tour de France triumph last month by winning the women’s world road cycling title in Montreal on Saturday. The Dutch rider, who won the Women’s Giro d’Italia in June, finished just ahead of Kasia Niewiadoma-Phinney. Elisa Longo Borghini was third.“I still cannot believe it,” Vollering told TNT Sports. “We worked so hard for this today. The whole team was riding so strong from the start to the finish. We took the race into our own hands.“In the end it worked out.
