To reach the ultimate goal in the NFL of winning a Super Bowl, it takes everything in the organization as a whole clicking at the right time. From the top-end talent, all the way down to the members of the practice squad—everyone needs to pull their weight and row in the right direction in order to get where you want to go. For the Detroit Lions, 2026 is certainly shaping up to be a pivotal season, while also being a bit of a transitional year, too. With key veterans such as linebacker Alex Anzalone and left tackle Taylor Decker moving on, the Lions will be leaning on young players to step up and fill those voids. With that said, there is no arguing one aspect of the Lions’ roster, and that is how stacked they are at the top. If you don’t believe me, check out ESPN’s recent series where they polled executives, coaches, and scouts from around the league in order to determine who are the top-10 players at the various positions. And in no real surprise, the Lions came in first, with nine players ranked inside of the top-10 of their respective positions. From the top-ranked tackle in Penei Sewell to the second-ranked running back in Jahmyr Gibbs—the Lions seemingly have an All-Pro-caliber player at nearly every position on the field. That brings us to today’s question of the day:Do the Lions have the best top-end talent in the NFL?My answer: Absolutely. Even if you unfortunately live in Illinois, Wisconsin, or Minnesota, you know the Lions’ top-tier talent is the best in the NFL. You could argue a few other rosters in the league, such as the Philadelphia Eagles or the Kansas City Chiefs, but even then—the Lions’ stars are still very young, with many of them being 25 years old and under. What about you? Where do you think the top-end of the Lions’ roster stands when comparing it to others around the league? Let us know in the comments below.
