Even after Tuesday night’s loss to the Colorado Rockies, a game decided by an errant throw to an empty base that ended up in the dugout, the Dodgers have still performed impressively against National League West opponents this season. They’ve taken six of nine from the Rockies, seven of ten from the San Diego Padres, and five of seven against the Arizona Diamondbacks, who will visit Dodger Stadium this weekend. Even with a 3-4 mark versus the relatively nondescript San Francisco Giants, Los Angeles sits at 21-12 (.636) against the NL West this season. That record ranks as the fourth-best among MLB teams against their own division in 2026.
Within the division, Shohei Ohtani has been exceptionally productive, hitting .318/.424/.706, while Dalton Rushing has posted .320/.397/.700. Looking ahead, Roki Sasaki will take the mound on Wednesday for his final start before the All-Star break, coming off a grueling four-start stretch in which he allowed 19 runs in 17 innings. This season, Sasaki sits 106th in ERA (5.40) and 88th in xERA (4.78) among the 116 pitchers with at least 70 innings pitched. Opposing him, the Rockies will counter with Ryan Feltner, who carries a 4.27 ERA and a 4.90 xERA on the year and has completed six innings in each of his last three starts. Feltner limited the Dodgers to three runs (two earned) over 5 2/3 innings when they met at Coors Field on April 18.
The Dodgers remain the only team in the NL West with a winning record overall, and they’ve been strong at home against division foes, posting a 12-4 mark against divisional opponents at Dodger Stadium this season. With the break looming, Los Angeles will close out the first half with four games against the NL West prior to the pause: Wednesday night against Colorado, followed by a weekend series against the Arizona Diamondbacks. All four games are against NL West rivals, underscoring the division-centric challenge that will help shape their momentum heading into the second half.
Ballpark: Dodger Stadium. Start time: 7:10 p.m. local. Television: SportsNet LA. Radio: AM 570 (English) and KTNQ 1020 AM (Spanish). This matchup set continues to be a meaningful barometer for the Dodgers’ division dominance as they aim to carry their strong NL West record into the second half of the season.
