Dodgers’ Prospect Kendall George Shines in Return With Walk-Off

Kendall George wasted little time reminding everyone why he remains one of the Los Angeles Dodgers’ most exciting prospects. Just days after returning from the Injured List, the Dodgers’ No. 13 prospect delivered one of his best performances of the season on Tuesday night, finishing 4-for-4 with a walk-off RBI single to lift Double-A Tulsa to a 4-3 victory over the Springfield Cardinals. The game-winning hit capped a perfect evening for the 21-year-old outfielder, who reached base in all five of his plate appearances and added a walk along with four hits, continuing the high level of offensive production he flashed before his return from the injured list.
George contributed throughout the game rather than saving his biggest moment for the end. He opened the night with a single, then tripled and later scored in the third inning. He added another base hit in the sixth, setting the stage for his dramatic ninth-inning heroics. With the game tied as Tulsa came to bat in the bottom of the ninth, the team manufactured a scoring opportunity after the first two hitters reached base and a sacrifice bunt moved both runners into scoring position. George then lined a base hit into center field, bringing home the winning run.
The performance marked George’s second four-hit game of the season and his second career walk-off hit in the Dodgers’ farm system. He rejoined Double-A Tulsa over the weekend after completing a brief rehab assignment with Single-A Ontario. His absence had followed a patellar tendon injury sustained in late May during an unusual play in which he was hurt while attempting to avoid a collision with Tulsa’s bat dog. Based on his first two games back, the injury appears to have done little to slow one of the organization’s fastest-rising prospects.
George has been among the Dodgers’ most productive players in the minor-league system throughout 2026. Following Tuesday’s breakout performance, the speedy outfielder is batting .344 with a .429 on-base percentage and a .415 slugging percentage. His elite speed remains a major weapon, as he has stolen 27 bases while crossing the plate 53 times in just 45 games. With health restored and his offensive rhythm quickly returning, George continues to strengthen his case as one of the Dodgers’ most intriguing young talents and a prospect worth watching during the second half of the season.
