He departed the Green Bay Packers after two seasons of being Jordan Love’s backup, embracing the starting job Miami presented to him.Willis didn’t have an ideal outing against the Las Vegas defense. He completed 15 out of 27 passes for 220 yards and an interception while rushing six times for 39 yards and a touchdown. However, he didn’t handle pressure well as he took five sacks from opposing defenders, criticizing himself after the game. The quarterback will look to perform better to present a better example as the team’s starter.Las Vegas performed well in the first half, outmatching Miami 17-6 in the first 30 minutes of regulation. Miami didn’t have enough offense to spark a run, being unable to find more cracks in the opposing defense.De’Von Achane rushed 11 times for 36 yards and caught four passes for 30 yards. Caleb Douglas led the receiving corps with five catches for 94 yards. Meanwhile, Malik Washington recorded three receptions for 53 yards.The Dolphins will look to bounce back in their next matchup, remaining on the road.
