One name that continues to emerge in the speculation is Arizona Cardinals receiver. Although he was the fourth overall pick in the NFL Draft just two years ago, there is a growing concern he may just be a draft bust in ‘Zona. However, there are wide receiver-needy teams around the NFL who believe that the one-time Ohio State star still can reach his potential if put into the right situation. Well, it seems like that may happen this weekend. According to ESPN, the Cardinals “are finalizing a deal to trade” Harrison Jr., but the destination is still unknown. The report notes the Texans are believed to be one of the teams that have had talks with Arizona. A deal would make sense, especially since Harrison Jr. became a top NFL prospect by taking passes from current Houston QB1 CJ Stroud. However, NFL insider Jeremy Fowler has doubts about whether the allegedly done deal is with the Texans.“One question with Houston: Is a deal contingent on winning Sunday? Falling to 0-5 would seemingly make a splash trade less attractive.”– Jeremy FowlerWho will likely win the Marvin Harrison trade sweepstakes?Fowler makes a good point, and it would be odd to agree on a trade only if one side of the deal gets a W on Sunday. Because giving up draft assets in what seems like a lost season would be a bad idea. Especially since acquiring the receiver won’t be cheap. On Saturday, fellow NFL insider Tom Pelissero reported that “Arizona would want a second-round draft pick and more — perhaps an additional mid-round pick — to consider dealing Harrison.”AFC West teams, the Kansas City Chiefs (4-0) and Las Vegas Raiders (3-1), have a clear need at WR, and both are in a strong position to get to the playoffs this season. The Chiefs have an extra third-rounder in 2027 and might be willing to part with it and a second for Harrison Jr., since he is still very young and signed for next season. Las Vegas hasn’t reached the playoffs since 2021, and only twice in the last 10 years. That alone may embolden them to make a bold trade to hopefully get better in their WR room.Related HeadlinesKC Chiefs & LV Raiders Get Marvin Harrison Jr. Trade Cost Update in New RumorLatest Week 5 NFL Injury Report: Lamar Jackson Out, Caleb Williams Now ‘Questionable’Golden State Warriors Made The Offseason’s WORST Move?
