Duke’s Cameron Boozer Gets Insane NBA Prediction That Even Fans Might Not Agree With

By admin — In News — July 19, 2026

I’ve been very impressed with what former Duke star Cameron Boozer has done in the early stages of his NBA career in the Summer League. I try not to get too overboard with the Summer League because I understand that, ultimately, it doesn’t mean everything. Boozer won’t remember what he did in the Summer League as he prepares to make his NBA debut. Ultimately, this is a good way for Boozer to get on the court and figure out what he needs to do over the remainder of the offseason to ensure he’s ready to go come the regular season. Outside of that, I’m really not worried about him putting up monster numbers against players that he should be playing well against. Regardless, some have started to take it up a notch, stating that because of how well Boozer has played in the Summer League and what he did at Duke, there’s a very good chance that we could be looking at not only a really good player, but a top-10 player in the NBA at some point in the next few years. That’s why Bleacher Report recently predicted that Boozer would be a top-10 player in the league at number eight in just a few seasons.“Not only do we have all three of this summer’s top three picks in the top 12 of this exercise, but we also have the player taken third ranked higher than Dybantsa and Peterson. The reasoning is similar to what’s found on the Peterson slide. Cameron Boozer should get more opportunities to show off his abilities and more time to develop on the floor than either of the players taken before him. But it’s more than that. Boozer might also have the highest floor of any of the three prospects. Because he does so many little things so well (like rebounding, passing and shooting), it’s hard to envision the world in which Boozer is ever a negative-impact player,” Bleacher Report wrote.I completely agree with Bleacher Report here that it would be tough to envision a scenario in which Boozer isn’t at least an above-average player. That doesn’t mean he’s going to be a superstar, but he has all the traits to at least be a decent NBA player, which is why he was a really safe pick. However, if all those tools eventually develop to the level we all know they can, his offensive game is just too ridiculous not to be a superstar.
