Philadelphia listed Smith as a nonparticipant on Wednesday’s estimated injury report and again Thursday. Friday’s absence offers no encouraging sign of a late-week return, although his official game designation remains pending. With Hollywood Brown also dealing with an ankle injury, the Eagles could need larger contributions from Dontayvion Wicks, Makai Lemon and their other receiving options. Jalen Hurts and offensive coordinator Sean Mannion already face pressure to improve an offense that scored seven points in Monday night’s loss to Chicago.Zack Baun’s availability remains unresolvedBaun remains in the concussion protocol, raising another significant concern as Philadelphia prepares to face Matthew Stafford and the Rams. If Baun cannot play, the Eagles would need to adjust their linebacker rotation with Jeremiah Trotter Jr. and account for the loss of a central piece of Vic Fangio’s defense. The final injury report will provide Philadelphia’s official designations. For now, the Eagles are preparing for Sunday without either player back on the practice field. This article originally appeared on Eagles Wire: Eagles without DeVonta Smith and Zack Baun ahead of final injury report
