It might seem strangely short on the surface, but the 43-year-old has favoured one-year and two-year deals throughout his entire coaching career at AEK Larnaca, Mirandes, Rayo Vallecano and Bournemouth. The rumoured deal would also mirror the two-year contract Iraola signed upon joining the Cherries in June 2023, which was then extended by 12 months in May 2024.
