Elite QB says Florida State has made the ‘biggest impression’ on him

By admin — In News — July 9, 2026

Florida State is eyeing 2028 four-star quarterback Chandler Dyson from Warner Robins, Georgia, and has already begun the recruitment process. FSU extended an offer to Dyson on June 15 and followed up with a campus visit a week later, hosting him for a camp on June 21 as part of a busy stretch of offers, camps, and conversations that Dyson has been navigating this summer. After taking in a variety of programs and experiences, Dyson identified which program stood out the most to him during his tour, saying that it was Florida State.
The 6-foot-4, 230-pound quarterback told Rivals that the Seminoles made the strongest impression. “The biggest impression was Florida State. They acted like they loved me. The coaches were excited for me to be there and fired up the whole time. They really showed my parents they wanted me there, and they believe I could be a starter if I went there,” Dyson explained.
Ranked as the No. 152 overall prospect and the No. 10 quarterback in the country by Rivals’ industry rankings, Dyson is also listed as the No. 21 prospect in the state of Georgia. Though he is just a junior and has two more years of high school football ahead of him, Dyson intends to take a cautious approach to his decision-making process. He said he plans to commit before his senior season, emphasizing patience and a deliberate evaluation of his options.
“I’m looking to commit before my senior season,” Dyson stated. “I’m really just being patient and waiting to see how many offers I can rack up before I really start thinking about committing. For me, I’m talking to different schools and taking the recruiting process very slowly.”
FSU is currently viewed as the early favorite in Dyson’s recruitment, but the path forward remains long and winding. The Seminoles will need to maintain their status as a top priority for Dyson as the process unfolds, continuing to build a strong relationship and demonstrate why they could be the right fit for him as a potential future starter.
