It’s causing a stir!
In tonight’s clash between England and Croatia, the opening goal did not take long to come.
In the 12th minute, Harry Kane was awarded a penalty by Clément Turpin.
The Bayern striker then stepped up, only to see Dominik Livakovic save his effort.

The Dinamo Zagreb goalkeeper’s joy was short-lived, however, as a few seconds later the French referee delivered the verdict: Kane’s penalty had to be retaken because Livakovic did not have his feet on the line at the moment of the shot.
From the VAR images, it is difficult to clearly make out the situation, and on the TV footage, it was announced that this was the reason the penalty was not allowed.
