Michael Wilhoite might be returning to the Denver Broncos’ coaching staff. Wilhoite, 39, was fired by the Broncos in 2025 after he was arrested for allegedly punching a police officer. All charges against the outside linebackers coach have since been dismissed, but he is still facing a civil lawsuit from the officer involved in the alleged incident. With the charges dismissed, Denver is “likely” going to bring Wilhoite back on staff, according to a report from Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports. However, “no agreement has been finalized yet,” according to the Denver Post’s Luca Evans.Broncos insider Mike Klis tweeted Monday that while “[n]othing has been finalized,” the criminal situation being resolved has cleared the way for a possible return.Denver currently has Jeff Schmedding coaching inside linebackers and Isaac Shewmaker coaching outside linebackers. So if Wilhoite does eventually return, it will have to be in a new position.Social: Follow Broncos Wire on Facebook and Twitter/X!
