Bassey stands 6-foot-10 and entered the NBA as a high-profile recruit, ranking among the top-10 in the Class of 2018 before making the unconventional decision to attend Western Kentucky. He was eventually selected in the second round of the 2021 NBA Draft and has since spent time with the 76ers, Spurs, Grizzlies, Celtics, and Warriors.

For Boston, the center position is well-covered by Mitchell Robinson and Neemias Queta, who have been leading the way inside. If Bassey were to breakout in the Bay Area, it’s not an outcome that Celtics fans would lament too much, given that they did get a chance to evaluate him before he moved on.
