​Formula One chief Stefano Domenicali is not ruling out a return of a race in Germany and said they are in an exchange with Hockenheimring organizers.Domenicali said in a video call on Wednesday they F1 was exploring “whether a Formula 1 race could take place there in the medium term, not in the short term”.Hockenheim is also investing and aims to become more attractive in future with a new theme park but Domenili said that “further investment is required for our platform; we are currently in discussions about this.”The last official German Grand Prix took place in 2019 at Hockenheim. The last race in Germany came a year later at Nürburgring which stepped in during the coronavirus pandemic.Hockenheim considers the hosting fee of at least $20 million too high but remains interested in principle.”Like in the past we are in a regular exchange. But there are no concrete results or prospects,” Hockenheimring managing director Jorn Teske told dpa.“It has been made clear often enough that both sides want this. As always, we would be interested in an economically viable solution.”
