The Falcons are led by first-year head coach Kevin Stefanski, who hopes to lead the team beyond what has been a disappointing on-field product over the last few years.The Falcons signed undrafted free agent Cobee Bryant to a deal last year. Last season’s head coach, Raheem Morris, labeled Bryant the most famous undrafted player he had ever known.“Cobee is the most famous undrafted player I’ve ever been around,” Morris said. “I mean, my kids know him. It’s unbelievable, all the stuff that he has and the accolades. But, when you go back and watch the tape, you’re not shocked that he’s well known. The amount of players that he’s played against and the guys that he’s able to compete against when you watch his tape is exciting.”The Falcons’ players quickly embraced Bryant, and he became a locker room favorite. Recently, in an interview with NFL reporter Jordan Schultz, Bijan Robinson and Drake London spoke about how much they loved having Bryant around the team.Even with all of that support, it is still a business at the end of the day. The Falcons released Bryant earlier in the week and subsequently placed him on the practice squad. However, in a surprising move Wednesday, Atlanta released him from the practice squad as well.“Cobee was released off the practice squad earlier today. His spot went to Jammie Robinson,” Falcons reporter Jason Kandel posted.This is unfortunate for the undrafted player out of Kansas, as he appeared to have a legitimate opportunity to earn a depth role for the Falcons coming out of training camp. Instead, the organization decided it was time to move in a different direction.Bryant signed a $3 million deal with Atlanta last year.
