There is also an exciting rookie hitter in Colorado who could use a substantial roster boost. Cole Carrigg, OF, Rockies, 34%: Carrigg has been outstanding at the plate since reaching the majors, posting a .925 OPS across 28 games. His power has arrived sooner than expected with 4 homers and 21 RBIs, and there’s room to grow in the steals department, as he has swiped only two bases after accumulating 30 steals in 57 Triple-A games this season. The youngster benefits from a Rockies lineup that has shown marked improvement and now ranks sixth in runs scored, making Carrigg even more attractive. With the outfield position as a whole underperforming this season, Carrigg is a strong roster addition in about 70% of Yahoo leagues.
Garrett Mitchell, OF, Brewers, 21%: Mitchell has elevated his quality of contact to a level that allows him to be started in all five-outfielder formats. The left-handed hitter features elite exit velocity (93.0 mph) and a 15.4% barrel rate, both significant improvements over his previous career marks. He does strike out at a high rate (33.2%), but he draws walks at an excellent 11.7% clip, helping him reach base regularly. His expected stats align with his actual production, and he owns an .823 OPS, making him one of the Brewers’ better hitters this season. Mitchell has shown improvement against same-handed pitchers (.738 OPS), which bodes well for his continued lineup presence through the summer. While his roster rate probably won’t climb past 50%, he deserves a 15–20% jump in ownership.
Kody Clemens, 1B/2B/OF, Twins, 48%: Clemens is crushing the ball with similar force to Mitchell (92.8 mph average exit velocity, 13.1% barrel rate). A sharper strikeout rate (22.3%) has contributed to a career-best .252 average. After a slow start, Clemens has posted a .269 average with 13 homers and an .861 OPS since May 1. With eligibility at three positions, he’s a versatile slugger who can fill multiple spots in the lineup for fantasy managers in need of pop.
Jake Bennett, SP, Red Sox, 47%: This is the last call to highlight Bennett, who should be rostered in most Yahoo leagues after the All-Star break. The rookie has been outstanding across eight starts for Boston, posting a 2.64 ERA and 0.94 WHIP. His latest outing featured seven scoreless innings in a win over the White Sox. A control-focused pitcher (1.5 BB/9), Bennett has allowed just five earned runs across his past five starts, underscoring his upside as a trusted rotation piece.
Jared Jones, SP, Pirates, 25%: After missing the 2025 season, Jones faced some uneven results upon returning from a May 29 injured list stint. However, the hard-throwing right-hander has shown the ability to miss bats and contortters with his fastball. As he settles in, Jones has the potential to emerge as a steady contributor in fantasy rotations, particularly for managers who prioritize strikeouts and a workable ERA.
