Florida baseball enters the 2026 MLB Draft aiming to extend a pair of enduring program streaks. Since the league’s draft began in 1965, the Gators have produced 231 players who together account for 261 draft selections, including 20 first-round picks. Under head coach Kevin O’Sullivan, Florida has contributed 116 draft selections and 14 first-rounders.
Excluding the COVID-shortened five-round draft in 2020, a Gator has been selected in every draft year dating back to 1997, and since 1998 every draft has featured multiple Florida selections. Florida has consistently placed multiple players in the draft in 16 of the 17 years since then, underlining the program’s steady pipeline of talent. In a notable trend, Florida has drafted at least four players in 16 of those 17 years, reflecting the depth of the program’s developmental system. Over the past three drafts, the Gators have seen at least five players chosen each year, underscoring a sustained level of high-end prospect production.
As the 2026 draft unfolds, here’s a snapshot of the Florida participants, including both current Tigers and signees who were selected on July 11 and July 12.
