Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly pushing aggressively in the bid to sign Mishel Nduka after his departure from Arsenal last week. The Spurs, who play their home games at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, have shown clear admiration for the 16-year-old prodigy, though they will face stiff competition from Manchester City. Nduka’s contract with the Gunners came to an end recently, and although Arsenal offered him a fresh deal, he turned it down. The teenage sensation, already hailed as “one of the top midfielders in England,” spent time at Spurs’ training ground today as part of ongoing transfer chatter and assessments.
Meanwhile, Leicester City’s academy attacker Darren Motsi is also on Tottenham’s radar, with the club facing competition from Liverpool and Manchester City for the 15-year-old talent. In addition, 16-year-old Kyran Thompson is poised to join Spurs after leaving Arsenal, with Tottenham aiming to bring Nduka to join him in north London.
Nduka’s move to Spurs would add another high-potential youngster to Tottenham’s growing pipeline of Academy talent. He joined Arsenal’s academy in September 2025, following eight years with Charlton Athletic. The England under-16 international has regularly featured for Arsenal’s under-18 squad in the previous season and even made a single appearance for the under-19s in a UEFA Youth League match. He was named in Arsenal’s under-21s matchday squad on two occasions last season, underscoring his standing as a promising prospect within England’s youth system.
Nduka’s decision to part ways with Arsenal comes at a time when Tottenham are looking to bolster their youth ranks and secure promising talents from top academies. The race to sign him has intensified, with City, and potentially other major clubs, ready to push for his signature. Tottenham’s recruitment approach emphasizes long-term development, focusing on homegrown players who can progress through the academy and eventually contribute to the first team. If Tottenham succeeds in securing Nduka, the club would bolster a midfield talent pool that already includes several highly regarded youngsters in the club’s youth structure.
As the transfer window progresses, Spurs fans and analysts will be watching closely to see whether Tottenham can seal a deal for Nduka and how this potential addition might influence their strategic plan for the upcoming seasons. The club’s pursuit of Nduka aligns with a broader trend in English football, where elite academies continually scout, recruit, and develop gifted midfielders at teenagers’ ages, with the aim of delivering future first-team players who can compete at the highest levels in domestic and European competitions.
