Notable names such as veteran NFL insider Tom Pelissero, former NFL MVP Cam Newton, and former Baseball Tonight host Karl Ravech were all let go by the worldwide leader. Perhaps the biggest name in terms of the network’s programming to be laid off, though, was former Steelers safety Ryan Clark.Clark had been a staple of the network for the last half-decade, serving as one of the mainstays for the Emmy-Award winning NFL Live. It was reported that Clark was informed of the decision while he was still on air.The Super Bowl champion took to X to release a statement of solidarity with his now former colleagues who were also let go by the network.“Sending prayers and love to all those laid off today by ESPN,” Clark writes. “So many of you have poured your life into that company, & I know how you’re feeling right now. My hope is as this door closes another opens for you all.
