As the 2026 NBA offseason unfolds, several former North Carolina Tar Heels are finding new destinations. While RJ Davis continues with the San Antonio Spurs, another former teammate has also moved on. Guard Caleb Love has reportedly signed a two-way contract with the Philadelphia 76ers after spending last season with the Portland Trail Blazers. The news was reported by Shams Charania on Friday, shortly after free agency began. Love spent three seasons at North Carolina, helping the Tar Heels reach a Final Four and a national championship game appearance before transferring to Arizona for his final two college seasons.
According to ESPN, Caleb Love has agreed to a two-way NBA deal with the Philadelphia 76ers. In his lone season with the Blazers, Love appeared in 49 games, averaging 10.4 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game. He now joins a 76ers team that recently made a major move, adding Jaylen Brown from the Boston Celtics.
