He is the No. 10 prospect at his position and the No. 2 player from his state.It’s the second consecutive weekend the program has hosted players from the 2028 class or younger. During the weekend of Sept. 19, the Buckeyes welcomed a handful of players from the 2028 and 2029 classes on unofficial visits as they began to turn their focus beyond the 2027 class.Ohio State has already secured verbal commitments from two prospects in the 2027 class and it’s not clear how many more players, if any, it will add. The Buckeyes hosted Deng Ngor and Jaxson Davis during the weekend of Sept. 5 and landed commitments from both within the next two weeks.Ngor is a 6-8, 200-pound Canadian forward from Fort Erie (Ontario) International Academy ranked No. 19 in the class of 2027 by Rivals.com. Davis is a 6-foot, 180-pound point guard from Illinois playing his senior season at Kansas City (Kansas) Monarch Academy ranked No. 43 in his class according to the 247Sports composite.The Buckeyes had been in the running to host five-star prospect Demarcus Henry on an official visit during the weekend of Sept. 25 but that trip is not happening. A 6-7, 190-pound forward, Henry has taken official visits to Louisville, Connecticut and Arkansas and told 247Sports on Sept. 24 that he is aiming to take three more. According to the website, Duke, Kentucky and North Carolina are the most likely schools to land those visits.Kelly is known to hold offers from most of the Big Ten. Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Nebraska, Northwestern, Ohio State, Purdue and Wisconsin have all offered, as have Notre Dame, Missouri and others.
